Can love be replaced by material property? The film is a tragicomic and intimate portrait of an ageing couple from the Slovak countryside. They have been living in debt and repairing their house in the hope that their children will come back to live with them again one day. But in every parent’s life, there comes a moment when they must face up the fear of being alone.

Kristína Schnirzová is studying documentary filmmaking at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, under the supervision of Peter Kerekes. In 2015, she completed the bachelor’s degree with her short observational documentary Hniezdo. For her master's degree, she is preparing a full-length investigative documentary about the influence of Penta, one of the most powerful financial groups in Slovakia, on the national healthcare system, which is rated as one of the worst in the EU.
